Scrapbookers… a few questions?
Do you ever feel like you have a ton of stuff (stickers, embellishments, paper, etc) but then when you go to do a page can’t find anything that seems to go with the pics? Just wondering if I am the only one! 
I just sat down to catch up on some vacation scrapbooking a feel a little overwhelmed. I am SO behind and am pregnant and wanting to get all this done before the baby comes because I know once he is here (beginning of Jan) I will want to scrap all of his stuff!
Also I plan on making a page with his ultrasound pics, would it be too embarrassing to scrap the pic that shows his male parts with an “it’s a boy” caption? I don’t want to be out of line! Thanks fellow scrappers!
Yes, I have felt like you Often we buy things because they suit a particular bunch of photos for a particular project, so the ‘leftovers’ don’t really coordinate with what we want to do next. I find kits a big help. Scrapbook stores will often put together a coordinating set of papers and embellishments and journalling spots. If you took your photos to a scrapbooking shop or searched for a kit online you may be able to find the exact thing you are looking for.
One idea is to look for a common colour or theme that carries on through your photos and to base you album on one of those colours or themes. That doesn’t mean every page has to look the same, but if there is a thread of the same colour or theme running through the album, it can look more ‘finished’ to me.
Now about those personal pictures of your baby boy (congratulations on his soon arrival!) His baby book will be your personal property. You can decide who sees the photos and who does not. Also remember that your baby will be looking at them himself when he older – how would you have felt if your Mom scrapped an intimate photo of you when you were in the womb and allowed others to see it? Be guided by your own reactions, perhaps. It’s a personal decision.
You could make a ‘public’ album and a ‘family’ album so you could treasure the really intimate photos yet still show off the photos you don’t mind the world seeing?
