I need help with Photoshop CS4 – enhancing pictures, and digital scrapbooking?
I just got Photoshop CS4 on a trial basis because I saw some of the cool signatures and pictures people have done with theirs. Now I’m stumped! I don’t know a thing about digital scrapbooking so I have no idea what to do next. I’ve googled tutorials but they go on and on about everything BUT what I’d really like to know. Have any of you ever done digital scrapbooking? Do you know how to download the template and make it look decent? I just want to know what to do after I find the template I like. Thanks!
Creating a digital scrapbook is mainly copying and pasting pictures and elements into layer in Photoshop.
The main ‘techniques’ in my mind would be:
- knowing how to open and copy files in Photoshop;
- knowing how to work with the basic selection tools;
- working with layers, transparency and blend modes (all layer related);
- working with layer effects;
- knowing how to transform (scale and rotate) elements on layers;
- knowing how to cut things and remove backgrounds;
- adding text;
- perhaps understanding basic filters;
- know where to get decent clipart to add to your scapbooks.
This should give you a basic ‘plan of attack’.
