what can I do to regular office brads for scrapbooking?
I just bought 9 boxes of 100 gold brass office brads ($0.25 a box!) at walmart and am wondering what I can do to them to make them pretty for scrapbooking??? they are just plain gold but I could not pass up the price.
Can I paint them with acryllic??? or does anyone else have any ideas?
You can attach just about anything to them with Glue Dots (sold in the scrapbooking section). There is also a crystal lacquer type of product that Close To My Heart makes which can be mixed with ink to color the top any color you like, so you’re not stuck with gold-tone on every page.
I believe acryllic paint will work in the short term but for a longer solution be sure to rough up the top with a little sand paper (or manicure block). The paint I’ve found to work best is Making Memories. It seems to be most permenant.
