Just found out after 10 years of working for my company..they are planning on closing?
I feel as if the security blanket that’s been wrapped around me..is no longer there. Luckily my boss is great. He’s offering to keep paying me until I find a new job. This is not happening for several months so hopefully I will find a new job before this one is gone. I just don’t know where to turn! I have been so comfortable here!
My question is this. Do I try to find a new job? or take this time to finally try and start my scrapbooking business? In today’s economy I’m so scared! I really want to be able to do what makes me happy rather then sitting at a desk watching the time tick by. Life is to short to be unhappy at work.
I don’t know what to do !! Please help..any advice will be great!! Thanks
If you want to start a scrapbooking business, I say follow your dream and try it out! This could be fate’s way of telling you to give it a try.
I would suggest however, do it smartly, and make sure that you have some assured income and something to fall back on. Why not get a part time job at the same time, so you have time to focus on your new business, but also have a paycheck coming in while you’re starting up.
You could try finding work at a hobby shop, craft retailer, photo shop, something like that so you’re still happy and inspired
