How to cut perfect rectangle/square in card stock..?
sorry…dumb question #201 – im new to scrapbooking obviously!
do you draw it first using a ruler and good judgement then cut with a blade or is there a better way?
If you are into scrapbooking then one of the essential tools is a 12″ cutter. Using such a cutter will give you squares and rectangles that are measured correctly.
Why a 12″ cutter you might ask?
Because a lot of scrapbooks that are available have pages that are 12″ X 12″. There are also a lot of decorative papers on the market that are 12 X 12. If your cutter is a 6″ cutter you can’t do anything with those papers. Most people don’t use a whole sheet of decorative paper for their page. Most of the time it is cut up and pieces are used on several pages and may even be used for making greeting cards.
Depending on the type of cutter you purchase you may even be able to use it to cut a square or rectangle out of the midst of a piece of card stock to either create a window or as part of some other kind of use.
