stay at home options for a scrapbooker?
anyone have any ideas on how i can turn my scrapbooking into a money-maker for some extra income so i can stay home with my newborn son? i am not interested in selling anything or doing scrapbooking parties….
offer to do custom scrapbooks for other people. its a beautiful art that others may not have time or talent for the same as getting their picture taken. and some would be willing to pay someone who knows what they are doing to make a wonderful display of family memories such as a wedding album or graduation surprise. A great sales example is when businesses are celebrating something they often like to have pictures of the team who accomplished it on display at work, be the one to offer to do a shadow box with that pic. with scapbooking decorations in the box related to the business and the accomplishment. Its a lot less boring for their future clients to see a decorated celebration in a company that a pic in a black plastic frame of a bunch of people they don’t know and the employees feel more valued. Some Executives will even pay to have personal gifts for each employee involved so imagine how much could be made doing individual albums for each member of a business team. To network your business let local craftstores, scrapbooking class instructors, frame shops, business groups and above all professional photographers know about your business along with any special occasion stores (like bridal and baby shops). These same people can probably also help you figure how much to charge for your services and what options to give your clients. Put together a portfolio of your work to show the clients like a album with each page a different holiday/family event. Do your examples in themes you won’t tire of working on and will give some varity with to indivdulze it cause the average customer will often expect you to do the same theme for theirs.
