Making paper – how to flatten and eliminate water?
I wanted to make a small amount of paper using the blender method of putting cut up scraps of acid-free paper into a blender, add water, whir and then layout. I don’t want to buy equipment since I’m just using up scraps from scrapbooking. Once my paper is processed, how do I lay it out and eliminate the water so that it will dry? Do I lay it on a plate? Towel? Something else?
2 ways
1. use a sponge to soak up the excess water.
2. I used to lay it out on a thin towel and fold the towel over to have a towel on both sides. Then I would use a heavy rolling pin to help absorb the water. lift the towel up and it should be mostly dry then you leave on counter to finish drying.
