Scrapbooking questions/help?
I am working on my first scrapbook and was wondering where people find the letters to go with some of the pictures. I went to a craft store, but all they have is solid color, every day stickers. I have seen some letters in stripes, plaid or other patterns that match the background color perfectly in some of the books I looked at. Where do I get these? Or do people make them themselves and if so, how? Also, I would like to add the name of my sons school to the outside of the scrapbook. What should I use? Simple letters probably wouldn’t look very good or last too long. Any tips? Thank you.
If they are in coordinating colors and patterns with the papers used then more than likely a die cut machine was used. You can purchase one and then all different dies to use in it. They come in different kinds of letter fonts and other shapes, etc. The cheaper thing to do is purchase your paper at a scrapbooking store that has die cute machines you can use with purchase. If that is not possible the last resort would be to use either letter punches or stencils and punch out or cut out your letters with the paper you select. Punches are only going to be available in small letters though. There are also cutting machine that are computerized with different cassettes you can buy that you can use to program it to cut out various sizes of letters and other objects, but we are talking a major investment.
