I would like to start Scrapbooking?
Hey :]
I’m a 14 year-old girl who would like to start Scrapbooking. I’m really creative and enjoy crafty and arty activities, so I feel that this is the perfect hobby! We are moving out anytime now, so I’m hoping to start when we’ve settled into our new Home.
How do I go about Scrapbooking? I’m on a Budget, so how much does this Hobby cost, monthly? i won’t be joining any clubs or anything.
Any tips or stories on personal experiences will be great.

The book is the most expensive part, you can buy packs that include stock paper, tags, phrases, stickers, frames, and the alphabet may times over. I suggest these packs, about ten dollars but you will get over 450 pieces in each pack, and can use them for more than just one scrap book. There really is not set cost though, you can spend A LOT or not very much at all. You really only have to have a book, scissors, some kind of adhesive (either glue [I'd go for rubber cement, dosen't gunk up photos or paper] or photo corners) and things to decorate the page with. You can use all kinds of things you probably already have at home; ribbon, yarn, buttons, stickers, pens, markers, you can even print images off the computer)
A few Tips
1 dont go out and buy a bunch of stuff for scrap booking all at once, and there is a bunch of stuff out there, but just slowly aquire things, such as the different edged scissor, stamps, pens. If you have a Big Lots of a store like that where you live, check them out for stuff. I got a book there for $8 once, and some cute scissor at a really good price.
2 Your book should come with 10 plastic sleeves which will include a white piece of paper in each. Instead of using a whole piece of stock paper for each page, cut up the stock paper and decorate the white page you already have. You dont have to for ever page, but it will definitely cut down on stock paper
3 Have a scrap pieces of paper box or draw or where ever you are putting your scrap booking stuff. they will come in handy for future page decorating.
4 There is no wrong way to scrap book, you have one picture for several on a page. Just don’t crowd your page. It’s all about having fun and preserving memories so dont get caught up in having to do it just so.
5 Get your mom, sisters, aunts, and friends involved. You dont have to join a club, but it’s a good way to have fun and spend quality time with people you love!
