Help me pick a printer!!!?
I have a gift card from Dell. I need to use it and I figured I would get a printer. Any suggestions? I have a hp photosmart 7760. Not really impressed with the picture quality. I want a printer for photos, crafts, scrapbooking, etc. What about the new Kodak printers? Another issue is cost of ink. I don’t want to set myself up to be buying expensive ink. The ones for this hp is bad enough!!
Dell also sells Canon – any suggestion on which one to get?
Hi…I am a computer salesman, and printer salesman, so i have developed a lot of opinions on this stuff…My first choics for colour inkjet printers is always Canon. if ou buy any printers from them that take individual color inks, they will save you a lot of money on ink. the total cost to get a whole new set may seem expensive, ($100) but the cartridges are so big that the cost is actually quite low. The new Kodak printers are actually quite good, but the ink system is not as revolutionary as everyone seems to think. The cartridges are cheap but small…they are actually on the same cost per page level as Canon. the key with the kodaks is that they use a different color profile, not CMYK (cyan magenta yellow black) which gives an impressive photo quality, however their long term durability has not been proven. I say stick with canon machines, but not the cheapest ones that only have two cartridges;……also I dont think dell sells them so…..I dont know.
